Rethinking European Student Accommodation for a Mobile Generation

The future of student accommodation in Europe will take centre stage at the the Conference “Rethinking European Student Accommodation for a Mobile Generation”, set to take place on 20 May 2025 in Brussels at the European Economic and Social Committee. Bringing together key stakeholders, the full-day event will tackle one of the most pressing issues for students studying abroad: securing quality, reliable, and affordable housing.

Hosted project HOME², this conference gathers European policy-makers, university representatives, housing providers, and student organisations to discuss research findings and innovative strategies for improving student accommodation across Europe.

The event will allow participants to discover powerful insights on housing quality, affordability, and accessibility, and explore potential policy recommendations designed to support students, housing providers and institutions. Join us in Brussels and contribute to shaping the future of student accommodation in Europe!

Make sure to register by May 7th! Spaces are limited and will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis.

Building on the success of its predecessor, the 30-month HOME² project is set to transform student housing in Europe. It introduces updated quality labels, policy recommendations, and a more accessible housing solution via the Erasmus+ App. UIPI is leading research to address challenges faced by private student housing providers to enhance access to quality accommodation for mobile students.
