Renpower

Renpower
September 2024 - October 2027

Renpower seeks to empower and assist private homeowners to improve their home energy performance and comfort by providing citizen-led one-stop shop (OSS) integrated home renovation services (IHRS). By fostering knowledge exchange between citizen-led organisations in Spain and Ireland, the project develops community-owned, replicable models that streamline the energy renovation process.

The value for property owners
Renpower provides homeowners with a pathway to renovation that simplifies the technical, financial, and organisational complexities of home energy upgrades. The project offers a practical, step-by-step approach, from identifying immediate energy-saving habits to planning long-term renovations, at a pace and budget that works for each household. The project also focuses on providing clear guidance and connecting owners with specialised services, to help increase energy independence and property value while actively addressing energy poverty and ensuring no home is left behind in the energy transition.

UIPI’s contribution
UIPI acts as the representative of the private property-owning community within the consortium, ensuring that the IHRS models developed are both practical and accessible for the property owners. We are responsible for coordinating communication and replication efforts and of summarising Renpower’s learnings into actionable policy recommendations at EU, national, and regional levels.
