UIPI Renovation Tour arrives in Prague

In association with Občanské sdružení majitelů domů v ČR, z.s. (OSMD), the International Union of Property Owners (UIPI) organised  a UIPI Renovation Tour in to Prague.

This conference aimed to inform Czech property owners and citizens about ongoing discussions around sustainable property development, equipping them to navigate current and emerging challenges. Building on the success of past editions of this tour, this event brought together property owners, real estate and construction professionals, and local and European policymakers to exchange insights and perspectives. The specific focus of the Prague edition of the UIPI Renovation Tour was the renovation of historical buildings built in the pre-World War II context, which undoubtably represents a diverse set of challenges.

The day was divided into two sessions. The morning was dedicated to political discussions, where representatives from various governance levels (EU and regional/local) outlined existing renovation and decarbonisation policies, initiating an open dialogue on these topics. The afternoon featured a practical session where innovative solutions, including local and EU-led projects, was showcased to facilitate building renovation, namely Craft, BuildupSpeed and Condoreno!

The UIPI Renovation Tour series of events in Europe aims to bring the European Commission’s climate goals closer to EU citizens and property owners, by steering locally relevant political debates and proposing practical solutions from existing European and local initiatives.
