Renpower

ABOUT

Renpower seeks to empower and assist private property owners to improve their home energy performance and comfort, by providing citizen-led one-stop shop integrated home renovation services (IHRS). To achieve this, two citizen-led pioneering organisations to exchange their knowledge and experience to develop replicable models that will streamline home energy renovation, and address energy poverty alleviation, to ensure a just energy transition for homeowners.

In Ireland, citizen energy cooperative Ecovision will extend an existing service to a wider geographical area and improve access to renovation services for vulnerable households. In the Spanish regions of the Basque Country and Navarre, citizen energy cooperative GoiEner will start a completely new OSS service. UIPI is mainly involved in communication tasks, namely the creation of the project’s visual identity and content production. Furthermore, we aim to replicate the project’s solutions on EU level and provide actionable policy recommendations at EU, national, regional and local levels.

Renpower is funded by the LIFE programme of the European Commission and is a compact three-party consortium coordinated by energy cooperative Goiener S.Coop and partnered by Ecovision, an Irish cooperative specializing in supporting homeowners and energy rehabilitation of their buildings and UIPI as representative of property owners. By joining forces, the three entities will broaden their knowledge and experiences at the European level to ensure that no home is left out of the energy transition.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Programme for Environment and Climate Action (LIFE) CET — Clean Energy Transition under Grant Agreement No. 101167212.
